One Room Challenge – Week 5: Green All Over

We are getting to the end of the One Room Challenge and I’m completely overwhelmed, on the verge of a slight meltdown.

If you have not followed along to previous weeks you can find them here: Week 1 / Week 2 / Week 3 / Week 4.

This week we have completed painting all the wall in the guest bedroom green.  We also painted the base board, the window trim, and door trim green as well. All I can say is WOW. The room is taking on a different personality.

I have completed the stenciling of the adjacent wall and I’m excited to install the crown molding to complete the walls.

Wall Art

One question that keeps running through my head this week after looking for art prints is; why is picking art so hard? Is it me or is this true for everyone?  Do I not have the right mind set for choosing art?  Am I making this too complicated?

I don’t know the answers to all these questions but what I do know is this: I have looked at thousands of art prints and still have not made a decision which to go with. I have made is slightly more difficult by buying the frames ahead of time so I’m also searching for a specific art size of 30×40.

Here are some of the ones I liked.  Be warned, they range from abstract, to minimalism, to altered vintage.

One of these will make it to Week 6 for the final reveal.

Here are the items I have left to do before the final reveal:

Paint crown molding

Install crown molding

Order side table knobs

Paint door and closet

Install closet trim and paint over it.

Hang curtains and wall art.

Order a couple of new pillows and pillow covers for the bed.
